Day 83 (79 @ jhmr) - February 26: Pre flight ski sesh in great snow and even more great company. I am going to really miss LK and Loki and skiing for the next 12 days. Yet this is what we do to make dreams come true. Cheers til March 9th.
Day 82 (78 @ JHMR) - February 25th, 2014 - JHMR + sidecountry: Day 22 of the Flow Yoga challenge ( #almostthere) Redemption in spacewalk and a sleeper powder day with fresh blissful tracks everywhere. Thank you!
Day 81 (77 @ JHMR) - February 24th, 2014 - JHMR + Side Country: Today is a great reminder of the power of mother nature and that she will do whatever she wants. It is hard to believe yesterday was a huge powder day. Today we had 4 inches of new snow and it was MANKY and the temps were really hot. Total flip flop. Yet we still found a secret stash of fun in shady chute which was wonderful. Searching for soft Pow instantly. And Loki had the time of his life with a major play session all over the village. #luckyguy
Day 80 (76 @ JHMR) - February 23rd, 2014 - JHMR: Oh man, we got suckered into the POWDER DAY frenzy. With loki in tow this season, we have been the ones working in the morning and arriving at first bell or later and skipping the frenzy. Yet, with 46 inches in 5 days and the day before being knock out awesome, we woke up to 19 inches and were in line at 7:30. The lines grew to a ridiculous amount as the stoke spread through the village. In the end all of the waiting landed us on a chair to work our way around the resort to seek out powder. By 11 we were overwhelmed with the lines and so loki made out with a massive snow ball fiesta for an hour and then we tried again until last bell. The second segment was much more enjoyable and fun. 19 inches is 19 inches. Gotta take advantage before its spring.
Day 79 (75 @ JHMR) - February 22nd, 2014 - JHMR + side country: Our sweet Loki has been a bit under the weather #toomanybones. So today he was charged and ready to take on an adventure. And it continues to snow daily. #groundhogsday. So we went for a long skin and ski with Loki and then headed to JHMR for some turns, VC for some pizza and brew and passed out. it was by far one of the best days of the season. Perfect blissful powder.
Day 78 (74 @ JHMR) - February 21st, 2014 - JHMR: Some ski days are so good that you forget to post a picture. So today you can see Loki’s love for his mama on the way to the resort and capturing shots for our blog post in a week and a half for JHMR of the exum ice park.
Day 76 (72 @ jhmr) - February 19th: Double Pow Day = 6 inches of new snow - white out conditions - massive storm blows through - 8 inches of new snow in bluebird conditions - storm blows in - lets just say we then woke up to 8 inches. Worked well for me as I came at 1pm to a brand new blue bird powder day with fresh tracks all over the place. And thanks to my helper I am on day 16 of the 30 day yoga challenge.
Day 75 (71 @ jhmr) - February 18th, 2014 - JHMR: skiing, yep it happened. #whynotlap #gondilap. Yet loki can be the star today with his snow catching skills because I didn’t snap any pics #frozenfingers
Day 74 (70 @ JHMR): We had three special guests with us for the past 6 days that enjoyed various adventures in the Tetons. Thanks to their visit we had delicious home cooked meals every night and they left us with a little nugget of home in our fridge. Double Mountain Brewery is our favorite back home so this is a huge treat. Todays afternoon ski session started with circling around for a while finding a parking spot. Holy moly Presidents Day was packed! We enjoyed a couple hours of fun before jamming to cover our blog post, and even knocked gnarls barkley chute off the list (its the small run lookers right of laramie bowl pictured above). Today was all about what I call, chute shopping. Gnarls barkley, central chute, experts chute, no name chute and runs to get here and there. Fun times for sure. Later that evening after our blog shoot wrapped, I took myself on a solo date to Sudachi while Lance was at a photography seminar. Dang was it good. Til tomorrow…
Day 73 (69 @ jhmr) - February 16th, 2014- JHMR: First there was coffee and working on coffee dreams (#stokedroasters), then there was a ridiculously windy dog walk on the dyke, followed by a session at the resort. The tram and sublette were down so the lines were really long, wind was at a maximum and the snow was blowing. So after 1.5 hours I called it and went by the Aspens Market to make my own apres spread. That was the best part =) Some days you just have to call it and enjoy being home with your pooch.
Day 72 (68 @ jhmr) - February 15th, 2014 - JHMR: The weather is warm, and it is a mess out there with inches of slush and ice and massive puddles. So Loki and I took it on like champs for our 45min run to button up week 8 of running fitness and even snagged a boot dryer upon returning home. And I received some new stealthy shades from Smith. PR material in the early fall for sure =) Later in the day between work sessions, Lance and I had a super fun time at the resort checking out spots we hadn’t visited yet this season and finding new secret stashes.
